These are my current prices for works on cotton. I make these paintings in four sizes:

All paintings are created on Arches 140lb cotton hot and cold pressed paper unless noted otherwise.

20% discount for multiples of two or more artworks.

-Frame prices for artworks on paper four sizes:

Whole sheet, artwork size 30x22” -approx outside frame dimension 28x36” Price = $360
Half sheet, artwork size 22x11” -approx outside frame dimension 29x22” price = $290
Quarter sheet, artwork size 11x15” -approx outside frame dimension 18x21” Price = $220
Eighth sheet, artwork size 7.5x11” -approx outside frame dimension 15x12” Price = $169

My frames for paintings quarter sheet and larger are sized six inches larger than the artwork, leaving approximately a three inch mat between the artwork and the edge of the frame. All of my frames are constructed from two species of reclaimed wood, long leaf pine or cypress.

The wood I use comes from old houses here in New Orleans and may contain old nail or screw holes, remnants of paint, burn marks or other signs of previous use. The beauty of the wood is that it was harvested from an old growth forest or swamps outside of town. In some cases these trees were hundreds of years old when they were harvested and the grain patterns show this. Also I try my best to create a beautiful lasting finish. Once the frame has been constructed, it is sanded several times to the smoothness of 300 grit sand paper, then four coats of polyurethane are applied over several days, sanded between coats.

-All of the materials I use in the framing process are considered archival.

Matboard used is off white cotton rag. The backer board, linen tape and the paper sealing the back of the frame are acid free.

-all framed pieces will have wire installed with signed and embossed certificate attached to back of painting.

Unframed paintings are shipped, wrapped in paper with certificate, sandwiched between two thin pieces of plywood, wrapped in plastic and covered with cardboard,

Acrylic lens with matte finish to reduce glare.

The first glue up. It helps to keep it square to glue one side first, then the other two instead of trying to glue four corners at once.

Oil paintings

Oil paintings can come in almost any size, and be painted on many different supports. The two supports I use are birch panels that I make in my shop, and pre stretched canvas.

My Oil painting commission price is currently $3 pr square inch.

Floater frames

A floating frame can be made for any size and thickness of an artwork made on a wood panel or stretched canvas painting.
Current price for a custom floater frame made from reclaimed wood is $.31 per square inch of painting. For example a 30x30” painting is a total of 900 square inches. 900 x .31 = $279

Fine Art prints

I offer Prints of my work to try and make it accessible to as many people as possible. I can make prints on cotton acid free paper or I can print them on canvas.

All prints are of the highest quality available. They are lightfast and archival. Kept out of the sun, fine art prints will not fade for generations.

I can make a print on paper or canvas of an oil painting, but a watercolor will always be on paper.

Canvas Prints:

Canvas prints can be bought rolled up in a tube, or stretched on a wood frame. For an extra charge, I can make a floating frame as described above. The picture of the Cabrini Bridge to the right is an example of a canvas print that has been stretched and a reclaimed long leaf pine wood floater frame installed. Canvas prints will have an acrylic Varnish installed to protect the pigments from scratches and reduce the harm caused over time from UV sunlight.

Prints on paper:

Prints on paper are printed on cotton rag low sheen photo paper, acid free and archival quality.

Shipping:

I currently use UPS

For framed or unframed watercolors, and oil paintings on canvas or wood shipping cost is determined by size and weight of the box they are in, so prices vary.

Prints a large as 16x20” in a rigid envelope or in a rolled tube ship for a flat rate of $20

Flat envelopes can hold up to two prints, more than that the must be rolled and shipped in a tube.

Tax:

The state of Louisiana charges a sales tax of 5%

the city of New Orleans charges a tax of 5%

A tax of 10% will be added to the price of all Items sold from this site.
